ROSE SCENTED SUGAR

This delicate sugar has a multitude of uses: It can be used to sweeten cakes and sauces, stirred into cream or yoghurt for subtle flavouring and substituted for castor sugar in rose-water biscuits. Ingredients: 5 cups highly scented dried rose petals 1 cup castor sugar 3 – 4 drops pure essential oil of French Rose Grind the rose petals in a food processor of liquidizer with a little sugar, until the consistency of coarse sand. Add 1 drop of essential oil to each batch ground. Bottle and store for that unique “difference” in food dishes.

Coffee Sugar Scrub

• ½ Cup raw sugar • ½ Cup white sugar • 2 Tablespoons freshly ground coffee • 1 Teaspoon Vegetable Glycerine • 1.5 – 2.5 Tablespoons Jojoba oil • 10 – 12 Drops Roasted Coffee pure essential oil Combine in a bowl, the sugar and coffee, mixing well. Gentle exfoliating nut, oatmeal & sugar scrub

This is a lovely, effective, but extremely gentle scrub – suitable for even the most sensitive skin types. ½ Cup Ground Rolled Oats (this is a softer product if you grind the oats, rather than purchasing ground oats) ½ Cup Ground Almonds ½ Cup White Sugar 2 – 3 Tablespoons Sweet Almond cold pressed oil 40 drops Gardenia pure essential oil Mix essential oil into sweet almond oil, stirring well. Avocado Sugar Scrub

1 cup raw sugar 1 tablespoon avocado butter 2 tablespoon avocado oil 8-10 drops essential oil of choice Rub avocado butter into raw sugar (or melt butter and avocado oil in a double boiler) allow to cool slightly and pour raw sugar into melted, cooled butter. Stir well. At this stage if mixture is too wet add more raw sugar. This resultant mix should be a firm but not too oily consistency. Finally, add essential oil and place in pots.
