As many of you know, Cottage Hill Herbs is not only home to a broad selection of herbs, products and magic, but also an array of animal friends who, like us, have a need for healthy, natural food and herbs! Today I want to share with you a really easy, delicious and healthy dog biscuit recipe that the cats can enjoy too! So let’s get right to it.
What you’ll need
3 cups wholemeal flour
3/4 cup desiccated coconut
1/2 cup wheatgerm
150gm mince steak
1 tsp kelp powder
1/2 cup full cream powdered milk
1 tbsp olive oil
What to do
Place the dry ingredients into a basin and rub in the mince, then the water and oil, mixing until it is a stiff dough. Roll out the dough, cut into squares or whatever adorable shape you desire before placing on greased oven trays. All that’s left after that is to bake them in the oven on a low heat until they are hard!
These biscuits may also be made using fish or sardines instead of mince (which the cats will love!). Desiccated coconut works as an attractant I find, so always include this in your doggy recipes! Give it a go and let us know what your pup (or kitty) think of them!
